At SLANE, our love for turquoise is deep-rooted, and the history of the stone itself is long and storied. Persians believed turquoise represented the heavens because of its beautiful blue color, and a host of ancient peoples include the stone in their history, spirituality, and supernatural beliefs.

And seriously, who doesn’t love chicks, lambs, spring flowers, and a mythical bunny who delivers candy? Check out these festive vintage cards I found:

Now that I have a little one in school it’s necessary that we plan our vacations around her schedule. This winter has been packed – between design sessions, trade shows and keeping up with my preschooler – spring break could not have come at a better time! My husband, daughter and I spent the week at a friend’s home in Whistler, British Columbia. We were both avid skiers growing up and could not refuse the opportunity to visit such an incredible place.
